Thank you for choosing to book with Canal View Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you. By making a booking you are entering an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
There is a maximum stay of 7 days during the current Pandemic because rooms are not serviced while Guests are occupying them.
A valid credit or debit card will secure your booking. We will check the validity of your card by pre-authorising it for £1 which will expire after 10 days. Where you make a booking on behalf of a business then the business will be liable for any additional costs incurred by the guest who stays.
We will take full payment on the day before you arrive. We will contact you to tell you we are doing this two days before you arrive.
Full payment for the stay will be taken on the day before you arrive. This payment is non-refundable. If you cancel or shorten your stay because you are or believe you may be suffering from COVID-19 then we will refund your payment. Where we refund any money we reserve the right to charge a small administration fee to cover any transaction costs that we have incurred.
Sorry, we do not allow pets at this property.
Acceptance of Children
We welcome children of all ages, please tell us when you book to ensure a suitable room is available.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all money paid by you for the booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Arrival and Departure
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. Please let us know your expected arrival time so we can ensure we are available to greet you. Arrivals after 10pm will only be allowed by prior agreement to avoid unnecessary disturbance to other Guests. We reserve the right to cancel your booking and charge you in full if you do not arrive by 10pm or a previously agreed later time. Please be ready to leave the accommodation by 10am on the day of your departure. If you decide to shorten your stay and arrive on a later date than originally booked, we cannot guarantee to be available for your check-in, although we will do our best. We may make an additional charge for an early or late check-in or check-out.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
Smoking and Vaping
Smoking or Vaping is not permitted anywhere on the premises. If we find you have smoked or Vaped in your room you will be liable for the cost of putting the room right and the cost of any nights while the room is not in a suitable state to let out.
Conduct and behaviour
We reserve the right to require you to leave if your conduct or behaviour is unacceptable or disturbs our other guests. Your deposit for any nights outstanding will not be refunded and we reserve the right to charge you the full cost of your reservation.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to you or any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
We may need and record your name, address, email address and telephone number when you make a booking and to validate a card payment.
We do not share your details with any third party except where we are legally required to do so.
Your information is stored securely on our electronic systems for no longer than 12 months following your stay. It may be stored longer in our paper diary.
We will only contact you for marketing purposes with your express consent.
You can ask us to remove your details at any time and we will do this unless we are legally required to keep that information longer.
The Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 (as amended) requires that we keep a record of your full name and nationality. We also have to keep a record of your passport number, place of issue and details of your next destination (if known) for Guests who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens. These records must be kept for at least 12 months and must be available for inspection by a police officer or duly authorised person.
Only one special offer can be used per booking. Special offers may not apply to single occupancy of Double or Twin rooms and may not apply for weekends followed by a Bank Holiday. All offers are subject to availability. Promo codes are available for at lease one calendar month after first publishing.
